Now step back a bit … the whole concept of female virginity kit that would break releasing a blood like liquid is a different level of disgusting. Their existence just attests to the stupidity of the people that require them, because if you check some medical information you would know that not everyone bleeds when they lose their virginity.
Back to the topic at hand, instead of promoting a culture of forgiveness and trying to stretch the small blanket of acceptance that Islam has, the Sunni scholars who seem to be stuck in a time warp in the 16th century keep insisting on shrinking it !
Then again the whole culture as a whole doesn’t promote any decent environment for elevating the conversation to any reasonable level. For instance the fact that as nutty as Gadaffi’s UN speech, which made the translator collapse and had no regard for other people’s time stretching the 15 minute allotment to an 1 hour 40 minutes still had some people finding it reasonable and finding some of its nuttier points – swine flu was engineered in a governmental lab as a biological weapon – plausible.
That brings me to the other point, the craze for swine flu is hitting the Arab world hard ! have you seen those stupid Saudi infomercials ? Besides the point that Egypt, Jordan, and some other Arab countries decided that Pigs are responsible for spreading the flu and hence massacred thousands of pigs … Is there anyone in the ministry of health at those countries who understands anything about anything when it comes to pathology? Or even the other reaction they are having to it, they are delaying the schools in the entire gulf region until mid October to help control the spread of a flu… get it ? it’s a damn flu, something that has been happening over and over and over, there is a reason its called a flu season and this one is not different.
You know what i think is at the root of this whole swine flu hysteria ? It’s called Swine flu, that’s it! when it was the bird flu no body cared, when you say to a Muslim the word “pig” they involuntarily shrug, and hence because its called swine flu it makes it all the more scarier, they might be tainted by the filthiest of all creations ! STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID !
